boxScadApi example : Door stop blocker
thingiverse
I have a door stop, but I didn't want to drill the floor yet, so it sat on the floor for a moment, moving around quite a lot. This thing isn't particularly useful, but it's a very straightforward and effective use of the boxScadAPI created by a friend of mine at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2005162. This API is based on two simple ideas: Reading your own code after weeks can be really demoralizing because choices that seemed clear at the time are hard to remember later. Designing objects in OpenScad often involves thinking, "I want to place that square at the end of this other thing." The boxScadAPI lets you do just that. Forget about fuzzy numbers and variables; with this API, your objects become real things with readable properties. You can position them relative to each other easily.
