This is a quick, down and dirty design to keep hawks out of the chicken yard and to keep the chickens in. I use thin netting to cover the top of the chicken coop, and lengths of PVC make the ribs that support it. I printed two kinds of brackets to join the PVC to the fence on either side. The round bracket snaps on to the top rail of a chainlink fence. No fasteners are needed. The other bracket braces against the 2x4 of the adjacent fence. This has holes for screws to keep it in place. I used ABS because I want it to hold up for a while to the UV and weather. I printed it really fast because I'm not worried about surface quality and I needed a whole lot of them to do the whole chicken run. I made them so that they can be printed standing on end (the portion the PVC inserts into is meant to be flat against the build plate) so that no supports are required. I did use a brim to keep the ABS bonded to the glass. Again, not worried about looks on this one. This is the first thing I've designed and printed myself. Maybe somebody else can get some use out of it.
