*The problem with procrastinating unfinished projects, is that you tend to forget what needed to be finished.* **Why?** It all started when I needed a way to protect my [*Heavy Object*](https://myanimelist.net/anime/27829) 3D prints from the horrible levels of dust in my home. I began looking at acrylic display cases, but for the size I need, I'd be paying nearly $30 per case. That's not a terrible price but, I'm cheap and so are my models, so I didn't need something that's pretty or structurally sound, so I figured I could get away with something cheaper and happened to stumble upon these while browsing Amazon. **Resources** The cake box this is based on: [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094NBCB98/), [Web Archive](https://web.archive.org/web/20221118214627/https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094NBCB98/) Demonstration Model: [Indigo Plasma by GreenTeaRice](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3515257) **What to expect** I wouldn't recommend putting anything that weights more than a pound on this. The cardboard base is more than strong enough, but I completely doubt my bracket design. I made this to be printed on an Ender 3, which means the length of the brackets can only go to the middle of the box, and that means you're going to want to make sure most of the weight of your item is behind the fulcrum point (pretty much the center) otherwise it's likely the box will tip off the brackets. I did try to mitigate this, though. *Though, you may be able to remix them to include support ledges along the top of the sides to help prevent that.* [I preferred having them easily removable, though.](https://i.imgur.com/b5iBTFP.mp4) **Disclaimers** *Don't take the renders too seriously, as the box is not a 1:1 copy.* I only made it so that I could visualize how my models would look before making them. The notches on the box also aren't perfect, as my IRL box fits flush to the back of the bracket, but not on my model *I think the reason is because I went back and made the bracket notches longer, but my fillets aren't real life accurate.*
