<p>Here's the description of <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/31212">V1</a>:</p> <p><q>I made this after I noticed that the my chains were skipping because the slack end of the chain wasn’t lining up with the motor sprocket. Because the slack end of the chain connects to a bungee which goes around a pulley that is directly on the face of the top beam but the sprocket is about 1 cm in front of the top beam, this is sometimes enough to cause a chain skip.</q></p> <p>I've redesigned my chain guide so that it can support both types of Maslow chain setups.<br/> V1 only worked on setups where the chain goes from the sled, around the outside of the motor sprocket, then to the middle of the top bar.<br/> V2 supports that setup as well as setups where the chain goes from the sled, around the inside of the motor sprocket, then to the outside edges of the top bar.</p> <p>When using V2, there is an arrow on the back which needs to point toward where the chain slack is.</p> <p>I will post photos of the chain installed on a Maslow soon, as well as some diagrams to try and help explain any confusions.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>I have included a 3mf file for PrusaSlicer that prints the first 1mm with only one perimeter. I have found that only one perimeter helps and strengthens the screw holes (as 3D printers often have trouble printing small circles). The 3mf also ensures that the bridging across the arrow (on the back of the print) goes across the short side rather than the long sides.</p>
