Braided ring

Braided ring

thingiverse

This is the most delicate thing that I've made. I used (and have only ever used) a 0.4mm orifice nozzle. This braid may well be easier to make with a smaller nozzle. Designed in Moment of Inspiration (MoI) using a script written by user bemfarmer. I tried making it in ABS on a Robox but the result was much less satisfactory that using PETG (as shown) on a Prusa Original i3 Mk2 using Simplify3D for slicing (and thus support generation). This needs lots of support, and a raft, and fiddly post work. Looks nice, though... Print Settings Printer: Prusa Original i3 Mk2 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: For Simplify3D users: I disabled raft layers. Post-Printing Lots of fiddly removal of supports. How I Designed This Designed in Moment of Inspiration (MoI) using a script written by user bemfarmer.
