Overview: Set of depth gauges to measure things such as brake pad thickness or in any other useful scenario. Contains gauges from 2 to 10mm in 1 mm increments. Design: Gauges are 150mm long, 15mm wide, and 1mm thick. Designed for a standard 0.4mm nozzle, and a .20mm layer height. 2mm guage will be technically the most difficult to print, as it depends on 5 lines of .4mm extrusion width. The number markings are .4mm (2 layers) deep. Keychain hole is 5mm. Printing: Gauge accuracy is completely dependent on the accuracy of your printer. If you can print accurate calibration cubes, you will get an accurate set of gauges. The most anticipated issue is the first layer elephant foot. A slight trimming or sanding should take care of this issue if you have it. The full set will fit on a regular 220x220mm bed, so your common ender 3 or similar printer can print a full set in one shot. I have also included each gauge seperately for smaller beds or single reprints. Extra: The number markings are .4mm (2 layers) deep. I used a silver sharpie to provide contrast for easy reading. If you want printed inserts, you can easily model them in fusion 360. The numbers are in bold Tahoma font at 15mm height, and obviously .4mm thick. You may want to shrink the inserts slightly in order to fit.
