Braking Pads

These are a model for braking pads for eddy current breaking havind the moving plate (roatary plate) in between the breaking pad consisting of magnets. The breaking pads are able to move only in a linear direction guided by the C shaped guide rails. And to move the breaking pads it is connected to a ball screw mechanism which is driven by a magnetic latched motors. And the breaking pads will close down automatically to full braking power because of the springs attached to them and will be held in least braking position because of the magnetic latch in the motor driving the ball screw. Hence this mechanism will break in the case of power loss saving lives
