This is a fairly accurate model of the iconic Braun HL1 designed by Reinhold Weiss.I built only the fan shroud originally to restore the two fans I have as they are the parts that seem to be showing their age the most--and seem to be the trickiest to get clean and clear! They are integral to the assembly to the item, so I created the part accurately enough to reproduce the actual part in transparent resin 3D print but feel it may actually look quite interesting in an opaque color--as a sort of resto-mod.In any event, I got carried away with the process and built the entire desktop fan.The shroud itself is now available for purchase at Shapeways.com. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 6 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .3 Infill: .10 Notes: I chopped this file up in various ways, most recently it resulted in excellent finish on the PLA print-out, but required a considerable amount more assembly than desired. Ideally this would not be an FDM print. Instructions I got carried away with recreating an accurate fan shroud for reproduction/restoration of an actual HL1, and modeled the entire piece.
