Bread Slicer Guide (Parameterized)

This model creates a custom bread slicing guide based on the specifics of your bread maker or loaf pan.

Click "Open in customizer" to choose your own parameters. If it looks all squished up and stupid, just right-click the blue "Create thing" button on the right and hit "Open in new window".

You enter in the size of the loaf you want to cut, the width of the slices, and the number of slices for the guide. Customizer will then generate a knife guide that will cut that many slices of that width from loaves less than or equal to the loaf size you entered.

You can also tweak other factors of the model itself such as its wall thickness, knife slot thickness, floor height, etc.

The overcut depth is the depth past the bread that the knife channel extends which allows you to over-cut the bread. This ensures you get a clean separation at the bottom without having to grind the heck out of the bottom of the guide.

Because the slots are tall and thin, they can be difficult for some printers, so I've included some periodic horizontal supports to keep them from shaking around. You can turn these off or modify their frequency or extent. Regardless, these are designed to be cut away from the final model.
