This was created as a prop urn or the musical Mary Poppins produced at The Amato Center For The Performing Arts at The Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley. At one point in the show George Banks has drop and break a large urn. It's made of 4 shard types, 8 copies of each. That's 32 shards at 1-2 hours per shard. Each shard type has aligned thread holes that allow the installation of either elastic or monofilament line to hold it into place. We found small dabs of hot glue were just right so it was solid until dropped and broke in a pleasing way. Note, this is a LONG project. During the printing I learned that my extruder motor needed a heatsink. (It took me over 48 hours of printer time) Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Infill: %15 Notes: Needed to add a heatsink to my extruder motor. The motor was getting so hot that it was softening the filament and it was getting wound around the axle. Post-Printing Painted by S. April
