Seed Planter (Jiffy Pellet)

This is a seed starter tray designed to work with compressed peat pellets such as the Jiffy seed starters. My base design holds 8 (2x4) but it's a customizer so you can make it larger or smaller. The pellet size is also configurable. This print has 3 parts. The "UPPER" is the only part you actually need. It should be printed with enough walls that it's solid. I also printed it a bit hotter than usual to make sure it was waterproof. The LID prints upside down, using a clear/natural PLA printed at 215c and slower than usual it's quite transparent. The version I shared has vent holes, but these can be disabled in the customizer. I suggest printing this with 1 bottom layer, 0 top layers, and 5-10% infill. This will give a top that's just one layer thick, with just a little extra support. Finally the tray is designed to sit under the upper and catch any drips. It's not really required but it makes me feel safer. Update Although the customizer works in OpenSCAD, the render takes a bit too long for thingiverse. I think the issue is the high polygon count cylinders - which are required for a even layer thickness. You can still use the customizer if you download OpenSCAD. I've also uploaded some STL files at different sizes.
