Title Of The Entry: Bring Me To Life 3D Model By: Ramin Asgary (Wooden Mannequin) Software: Rhinoceros - Keyshot - Photoshop I started with analyzing the aim of the challenge and the requirements. I created some aspects according to my expectations from my design and also the demands of the challenge (realism, creativity and composition). Using these aspects I started to brain storm for ideas. I used Rhinoceros for 3D modeling the Wooden Mannequin. Since I have the same Wooden Mannequin myself, I tested different poses on it and then I applied the chosen pose on my 3D model. Then I imported my 3D model to Keyshot and applied the Toon Material. Since I wanted my final design to look as if it is a real pencil sketch of this Wooden Mannequin, I approximately did 4 different renders to have a better control over the details of my final design. There were different settings that could meet the needs of my final design which some of them could not be achieved in a single render. I imported all the renders in to Photoshop and combined them. The rest of the process can be followed on the illustration images I uploaded. For the composition I needed to find the best aspect ratio. So I checked the Grabcad website to find the best appropriate aspect ratio according to the layout of the website. I wanted to make sure my final design will be presented without being cropped in thumbnail or medium size mode. I matched all my renders to that aspect ratio. To ensure the aesthetic aspects of the composition I used the Golden ratio for dimensions, angles and the position of the visual elements in the final design. The Golden ratio also made it easier to make a Backplate to be used as a reference point during the rendering process.
