Bristol M1C Monoplane World War 1

This is my first try at a design from scratch model and has its issues. This Bristol M.1C WWI monoplane model was designed and built by Walter A. Musciano 1957. It was a very competent design but suffered from being a monoplane at the time when the RFC considered monoplanes unsafe. The plane was used mainly in the Middle East. There is a flying replica at the Shuttleworth trust. It is designed to operate with electric motor and limited radio control mounted in a slide in from the front module. So far it has not been tried, that is the next part of the experiment. The ailerons are fake, but the tail elevator and fin can use the hinges provided to act as controls. I used solid copper TV cable core as the axial. The rear section is slightly weak so need careful manipulation. The wings can be printed as one if your printer is large enough. The undercarriage is also not good structurally, it can be printed as one or in sections. Overall the model is currently too heavy but makes into a good looking model. At present the wing wire supports are too flimsy for printing and so to make the model more realistic they need to be made from other material. Printing: Most parts are set with 5% infill and highest quality print. The landing gear needs to be at least 90% infill. The parts are glued together using standard super glue
