Broken (Speaker-)Tripod replacement lock/brake

Broken (Speaker-)Tripod replacement lock/brake

Your speaker-tripod cannot be tightened properly anymore? The original brake block wears out very fast as cheap soft plastic is used. ...so I designed a spare part! Better reliability than the original part, nut-cutout shouldn't wear out anymore. Fits a standard 12mm nut, please check before printing! Tip for a Coffee appreciated. Let me know if there are any issues with your printed part! Suggestions: - Retrieve the broken brake-block by fully removing the tightening screw first. Turn the tripod upside down and slide out the pole so the block can fall out. If yours is jammed, try to poke a screwdriver through the screwhole on the outer shell and lever up on the inner block. - To get the metal-shim in the cutout, use a vice. It's designed to be press-fitted that way. - The nut should slide in by pushing the print downwards on the nut. Don't apply too much force on the outer edges of the print as it's not designed for this kind of stress! - Don't forget to always secure the moving tripod-pole with a metal security pin!
