Antrim the body and rim comprise eight pieces of beaten bronze, hammered to 1mm and riveted together. Horizontal rows of conical-headed rivets are functional and decorative. Four handles are of cast circular rings of ribbed cross-section. The rim was strengthened by eight vertical slender bronze stays riveted to the body. Cauldrons date to Late Bronze Age Europe, c. 800 BC. They were highly prized, often deposited in watery places. More here
