Bruder Dozer - Tripple Ripper

Bruder Dozer - Tripple Ripper

This is a replacement ripper for the Bruder D11 Dozer. You will require some 3mm screws and nuts for this as well as a servo and some form of linkage between the ripper frame and servo horn. I leave that up to you as your servo mounting location will likely vary from mine. For ripping strength, my Dozer is set up on 35kg servos driving the tracks, which have my standard grousers on them. The belly is filled with concrete and lead which brings the weight up to around 6kg. With this setup, there is very little effort required to rip these teeth (triple) at their lowest configuration through firm garden soil and in shallow single, it will still pull through packed soil. The ripper teeth can be set at 2 heights or put in upside down for better ease of transport, or if you want to rip a single, double or triple. The teeth also have a downward point to them for better digging. The angle of the unit is fixed using the upper factory plastic "hydraulics" but I'm sure some of you out there will find a way to make that adjustable on your own. The lower factory "hydraulics" can also be clicked in, but they will limit movement unless modified by cutting out their detents. There is some cutting and drilling of the stock Dozer body, but it is all very simple and straight forward. Nothing here requires absolute precision or exact measurements. You can print this all fairly lightly as the sheer size of the componentls will make for some good inherent strength.
