Brutal Minima BOXX workstation

This project has been a reflection about the BOXX brand and what is a workstation. After researching the brand, it's roots and their mission it became clear to me that BOXX is about Powerful computing, undeniable stability and affordable products. A workstation is the team mate you know won't let you down in those stressfull deadline last stretch....it's your own personal war machine!! Not formula one fast, but undestructible top of the line product that will lead you to victory over competition. This lead me to the conclusion that this design had to inspire confidence upon the potential buyer, visualy convince them that BOXX worksation are stable, powerful, and that they are not paying for bells and whistle they don't need. BRUTAL MINIMA is inspired by the brutalism architectural movement and acheives these goal by using a combination of horizontality that increase stability, efficiency and professional feeling. The vertical surface that leads to On button & eject DVD bring a sense of power and action associated with performance. The whole styling is meant to be imposing and minimalist like governement buildings. The often look brutal, basicly fonctional and are meant to inspire people that their money was well spent. (while this is not always true....I think you get the idea). BRUTAL MINIMA is about visualy delivering your brand promess to the world. Thank you :)
