This is a DIY BT40 collet cnc spindle with dual bearings on the top and bottom mounting as well as a bearing for centering the power drawbar. Tha drawbar is pressed on the closed possition with the internal spring and with a hit on the top of it (eg pneumatic piston) it releases the tool holder. The rotation is given via timing pulleys mounted on the back of the rotor with a spline and a worm screw. It is not ready for manufacturing as it has many details unfinished but it is a good approach for someone that wants to work on this concept.
