Here are a couple of mount designs for the BTT UPS 24v. One is enclosed and the other is open. Both are universal designs that will mount to aluminum extrusion frames. When the power goes out and we have a battery backup we get to play the game of how long is left in print time vs. how much battery life we get. With the BTT UPS when the power is cut the controller stores it's position and raises the nozzle x mm off the print and whenever power comes back on we can simply resume the print. Even if it is days later. The BTT UPS trumps the battery backup because it does not care if you had 3 days left to finish your print. IMPORTANT WIRING NOTE: The BTT 24v UPS is a capacitor bank. It gets wired to the power feed to your mainboard and when the power gets cut the capacitors have to drain before the power shuts off. This is what gives the printer the chance to prepare for the incoming power loss event. But it also means every time we turn the power off it takes a minute and then slowly dims away the power as the caps bleed down. I have a novel correction for this.. The main power switch for most 3d printers is a DPST switch. That's Dual Pole Single Throw and it means that power switch has 4 pins or 2 separate sets of terminals that get closed and opened. Most commonly the 2 circuits that are being interrupted here are the line and neutral wires. I like to remove the neutral from the switch and just leave it connected all the time. Then with the now open set of poles in the main power switch I will connect the BTT UPS +24 wire to one side of that switch and connect the other pole to the 24v power feeding the mainboard. This way when we turn the power off with the switch we immediately interrupt both the line in from the wall and also the 24v feed from the BTT UPS. This will let the printer shut off as it always did before and it will also limit the amount of drain on startup as the capacitors might still have some charge in them from the last time the printer was on.
