Original wind wheel mounts cracked for me and snapped under load. Printing in PLA could solve that, but I have this spool of ABS I want to get rid of. Wanted design which is more forgiving to printing errors. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 original kit Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 200 um Notes: Printed with support on screw holes. If you have bridges tuned, should be okay without them. 4 perimeters and 5 top/bottom layer for strength. Used Slic3r modifiers to make base plate 100 % infill and middle leg with head higher infill then side legs.http://slic3r.org/blog/modifier-meshes How I Designed This Took measurements of original and prepare my peace as drop in replacement. Wanted to print it on side to avoid delamination under load. Used 3 mm spacer from original set I had lying over to offset wind wheel.
