This is a great part I designed because I couldn't find any good ones available online. I used it on my project you can take a look at here https://imgur.com/gallery/2mQM6Cb Though very useful I accidentally deleted the design from my Fusion 360 account… Forever it will remain as is. I installed this about 1.5" above the base of the bucket so I never got 100% drainage. However! if you put it at the bottom of the bucket it should be much better.

Here's the skinny:

Print with food safe PLA or PETG @ 100% infill.

You need to drill a hole 1.5" hole in the bucket I think… I actually forgot the exact size to be honest so I suggest you print it first to confirm the hole size.

You need some sort of grommet on the inside to seal it. I used a rubber sheet I cut to fit.

Place the grommet you find/make/ or print around the male screw side of the main body. Then feed that from the inside hole to the outside.

Screw on the screw cap from the outside

Screw in the inner drain “filter”.

Connect a 1" water tube on the outside and screw on a stainless steel hose clamp.

Bingo bango you got yourself a bucket drain.

Follow Syk3DGrow on Instagram for updates.
