I am interested in distributing the ownership of the artwork through collaboration, network building, and open source development. The exhibition will be held In New Cross during the Goldsmiths Masters of Fine Arts Degree show. My research as a graduate student has led me to concerns with the production of artworks through a distributed means. I am asking the 3d printing community for help! I have worked on a file to create a Geosphere that is roughly larger than three meters in diameter. The nodes of the intersecting rods will be made of 3d prints. I believe the printing should be distributed so that everyone can take part with little time invested. Through this process Through modularity, self organization, and collaboration, I hope to connect a network of artists, designers, and makers to a greater community. If you wish to take part in the project, we are in need of designers, print technicians, and artists to join the discussion. Be sure to add something personal or creative to the project so that your voice can be heard too! I can imagine the nodes having a good deal of diversity. For international printers and artists, I would like to involve you as well! I can pay for shipping because I am doing it for the love!
