Buddhist Statue

This was based on a small statue that I modified a little to make it easier to print. The stl's are each made of several manifolds with positive volumes. They slice fine for me with Repetier Host for Mac. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Notes: Import version Buddhist_Statue_050_no_head_support . Units are in mm. Turn on support material. Set perimeters to 4 and base layers to 15. If the back of the head slides off the support column while printing, then use Buddhist_Statue_50_modified_robes, turn support material on, and print. Post-Printing Pick the support material off and slide the hands in the slot. Optional: Round Out the Back Remember how I said 4 perimeters and 15 base layers? It seemed excessive right? Well, now that means if you want to round out the back of the figure, you can do that without putting any holes in the surface. You can use a dremel with a carving bit, or a grinding bit, or a sanding bit, or you can use a hand file, or you can use a carving knife, or you can just scrub with rough sandpaper.
