Buffalo skull (American Bison)

6-12-17, I just uploaded a new mod to the file, it is sculpted and mirrored and smoothed. It is Buffalo 5 6-12... This is a scan of a Buffalo skull (American Bison) that was done with a Microsoft Kinect for Windows and ReconstructmeQT software. I am uploading several versions of the files. One is the full scan, the other is the skull and horns in separate files. I've uploaded OBJ files, STL files, and Makerware Thing files. Instructions The all in one file is printed with support and two extra shells, be careful removing the support. I had hoped to make it a dual extruder print with black horns and a white skull, but Makerware does not allow support for dual extrusion projects. So instead, I am printing the skull and then the horns in separate prints. You can load the skull and each horn file separately into your slicer, but don't resize them or move them until all three are load and all parts are selected. That way you will be sure to have them aligned. In Makerware, I did this, and they were mostly off screen as they come in life size. With all 3 selected, I did a shrink to fit and then moved the group to the build platform and rotated as needed to get the flat bottom on the build plate. The thing files are already set up this way. If you want to print in max size with the skull one color and the horns another, bring all 3 in, delete each horn, scale the skull, keeping track of what percent you use or the before and after dimensions so you can determine a scale percent. Save the file for later use. Undo the resize, undo the horn deletions, delete the skull, and scale the horns by the same percent the skull was scaled. Save your horn file with a new name. Now reopen the skull file, position on your build plate and slice it. Do the same with the horn file.
