Bug filter for Dyson DC45
thingiverse
We reside in a rural area, and autumn arrives with its breathtaking hues, bringing an overwhelming abundance of insects that even the most secure mosquito net cannot prevent from entering our home. This innovative attachment for Dyson DC45 allows us to capture all those pesky bugs inside our dwelling, keeping them segregated from dust particles so we can release them before they contaminate dyson filters with their pungent odor. A small amount of adhesive is necessary to join P1 and P2 (I printed them separately to avoid support material) and some M3 screws and nuts. The valve's driving beam is a short threaded M3 rod. Two 10x3mm magnets ensure the valve remains tightly closed when the vacuum is turned off. I repurposed an old plastic container as the primary canister.
