Build-a-Wand

thingiverse

The wand is a basic prop of fantasy, whether it is ornate or simple, and there is a variety of forms derived from the basic rod. The Build-a-Wand provides some basic forms to build a wand from and includes a simple rod in both 12cm and 2.5cm lengths and three varieties of balls to top it with. All items use a simple interlock which other sets will make use of. Instructions Load the desired parts and print with standard settings (2 shells, 10% infill, 0.2mm layer). As obj files are what I create and use those are what have been tested. The STL were created with netfabb. Items named as "Base" do not accept a part underneath, but can have parts mounted on top. "Segment" pieces can be used as mid sections and "Cap" or "Ball" pieces are finals. Items tagged as "thor_interlock" can interlock with these pieces. Caution: do not print anything other than a final using a StrataSys printer. The results are extremely brittle and the prongs snap.
