To use this caliper-based jig, first print it upside down and clean any necessary slots. Ensure the calipers slide smoothly for accurate results. Perform a standard leveling procedure, then place the jig over the extruder rails, inserting the depth gauge (set to 24mm) into the slot. Rest the base of the caliper in the slot and gently lower the digital readout until the gauge touches the build plate. Zero the calipers for accurate measurements and observe how far off the extruder is from the plate. This method proved highly effective on a Replicator 2, improving print quality significantly by replacing the traditional business card leveling technique.
