This is the kit you need when or if you are missing a button - be it on a shirt or a pair of jeans. The chances are good that it's a circular button - that's just how the world is. So here you find those, in different versions and a ton of sizes! And if you just dont want the circular button back - there are square and hexagon versions for you too. You are welcome! ;-) Just download the kit and select from over 500 different buttons! No need to mess with a generator or advanced software to make the perfect size - and no need to scale in the slicer :-)

If you enjoy the model, please consider a small tip on Ko-Fi. Thanks!

https://ko-fi.com/glennovits

Kit overview

It all started with the 'Clothes Buttons' design contest. I wanted to make some basic but useful shapes for people to download. And you can say that it got out of control from there :-P Different shapes, versions and sizes... But here is an overview of the kit.

Shapes: Circular, Square, Hexagon

Versions: Flat or with a Border

Holes: 2 or 4

Sizes: 8-50 mm in diameter

They are organized in folders for you to easily find them.

(Unfortunately they aren't in alphabetical order here on PrusaPrinters. But if you just download the complete kit/folder, you can sort them alphabetically and easily find what you need)

Filenames

Filenames are made for you to quickly detect which one you need.

1st character: Shape (C = Circular, S = Square, H = Hexagon)

2nd character: Version (F = Flat, B = Border raised)

3rd character: Holes (2 or 4 holes in the middle)

Last number: Size (Diameter or from side to side)

With the above naming scheme, a basic button for one of my shirts would be: CF4-11 (a circular flat button with 4 holes and a diameter of 11mm)

Print instructions

They are simple and quick to print.

1 color:

Placement: Placed flat on the buildplate and then go!

Supports: No

Speed: Consider lowering the speed, especially for the first layer, to get proper adhesion for those very small perimeters! (If they still don't want to stick on the buildplate, consider cleaning it and possibly adjust the Z-offset.)

Buildplate adhesion: If the above speed settings didn't got the buttons to stick, maybe try a brim or a raft for better adhesion.

2 colors (border with a different color):

Same as above - just ad 1 adjustment:

Color change: Set a color change when the main body is done (at layer 11 if you print with 0.2 mm layer height)

I hope you like them and that one of these basic buttons might be just what you needed!

At least it was fun for me, as I had to learn something about scripting, to make it possible with all those versions. Nice for an upcoming project I'm working on right now.. Stay tuned!

Happy printing!
