Hi there, the kaval is a shepherd's flute and is one of the national folk musical instruments of Bulgaria. More information about this can be found in the following two links: Wikipedia link about Kaval. Link to the blog of Zhivko Vasilev. Update 2022-05-22: I have uploaded a new version, I recommend that you also check out the new version. ["Bulgarian Kaval in D / Български Ре Кавал v 3.12"](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5391557) In this project you will find several stl files. "Ekleme 1", "Ekleme 2" and "Ekleme 3" are the names for the finished 3 parts from which the Kaval is put together, carefully do not glue, it is a plug connection. I used Teflon tape for a better connection Since my printer can only print a maximum height of 20 cm, I divided the parts Ekleme 1 and 2 again and received the files with Ekleme 1a and 1b as well as Ekleme 2a and 2b. After printing, parts #a and #b should be glued together. I used 2 component epoxy glue for this. When connecting Ekleme 1 and 2 as well as 2 and 3, a small gap should be left to allow the Kaval to be tuned. (See Fig. 4) -It is also important that the blowing edge really has a sharp edge (see pictures 2 and 3), for this I used sandpaper and carefully shaped the edge. I can only recommend doing this before gluing, just to be on the safe side if something goes wrong. -It can happen that bigger bumps occur inside the pipe depending on the printing settings. It's not that bad, but they have to go, that's our sound chamber after all. Take a round file and carefully file the inside of the tube a few times, turning the piece around the file so that the inside wall is filed evenly. E.g. such a file: LINK How to play with it can also be found here: Generate first tone. Finger chart for the kaval. Have fun printing and learning to play. P.S .: The correct positioning on the print bed can be seen in the file "Kaval.stl". In addition, I have attached my "Cura" project file. Update 11/27/2021: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I made small cosmetic tweaks to the finger holes so they should look better now. I also changed little things in the sound, now it sounds a little bit better to me. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Update 2021-11-20: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I uploaded the final version today. The old files are located in "OLD_files.zip". It is the classic version with an inner diameter of 16 mm. Basically everything was processed. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Update 2021-11-07: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Today I also added a version with an inside diameter of 16 mm. This is the inside diameter described by Todor Prashanov in his 1966 book. In this version, the distances between the tone holes for the left and right hand are all the same at 25 mm. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
