The goddess is crowned with a tall diadem covered by a veil that falls to her shoulders. Her delicate oval face has finely drawn features, a soft mouth and almond-shaped eyes. This sculptural type is reminiscent of depictions of Demeter-Ceres or of female portraits employing the iconography of the goddess who protected the crops. The sculpture, considered by critics to date to thte first half of the 2nd century AD, presents some features based on a model by Praxiteles of the 4th century BC.
