Update 1/19/23 Fixed issue where one of the feet had a line on its sole, should not appear anymore. Also Fixed issue where part of the shoulder construction was missing. New year, more mechs. After everything I have learned from my previous work I decided I wanted to go back and update some of my older kits. I have adjusted the joints to be easier to replace and (hopefully) have improved stability. The new joint system also allows for me to print the legs differently which will allow for more detail on the back of the legs! The hips utilize the new assembly from my Cyborg Soldiers, which I think look a lot nicer than the old version. My biggest upgrade on this figure is the shoulder assembly, while more complex than the old version, both cleans up the visible peg as well as looks closer to my original vision of the mech's design. Separating the armor from the actual shoulder will allow me to design new shoulder armor more easily in the future. I have also included some more weapons I have created for my mech series. I still want to add more features to my mechs in the future, double jointed knees and elbows as well as ab articulation come to mind, but I think I am satisfied with my work for now. Perhaps I will save those upgrades for a potential MK 3 in the future. The Buster Mech MK 2 was designed with a focus on simplicity, durability, and ease of printing. Joints are achieved through a system of 3mm pins that give just enough friction while also easily removed with pliers (for maximum strength, print these so that the long side of the pin is parallel to the build plate). 3 millimeter ports on the arms, legs, and back allow for cross compatibility with most other model kit accessories. I hope you enjoy. Please send feedback as I may create improved versions of the figure in the future. Depending on your printer and plastic, some light sanding and/or tightening of parts may be required. Tightening may be done via thin layers of super glue or multi-surface floor polish.
