This is a butterfly creation put together with 38 smaller pieces. It can be made of cardboard, foamboard, wood, metal, or any other material that has sufficient strength and thickness to to support the integrity of the structure. This model is a precise replica of a creation by a public school educator. Originally, it’s a cardboard model that matches the size of a typical K-2 elementary schooler. It’s hang on the ceiling of a science classroom. The model has six holes that serve as attach points to the ceiling. The outmost tip of each antenna is also attached to the ceiling by using cotten thread and plastic tape. The model has all the basic parts of a Monarch butterfly. It has wings, abdomen, legs, thorax, antenna, head, and proboscis. It’s used to teach the parts and the functions of a living thing to the young children. They also learn concept through kinesthetic, hands-on manipulation due to the assembliblility of the model.
