C.H.I.P. Fan & Battery Case

C.H.I.P. Fan & Battery Case

thingiverse

I wanted a small case that fit my C.H.I.P. that would fit a 30mm fan for cooling. I couldn't find one, so I designed one. While the fan is a 5VDC unit, it's plugged into the C.H.I.P. ground and 3.3VDC and runs very quietly, while still pushing plenty of air to cool this little guy. The battery compartment is sized to accommodate the 4000mAh battery that came with the original Kickstarter campaign, but the SCAD files are attached for tweaking to your heart's content. Additionally, you'll notice that there are heat sinks installed. I bought some bulk, small (14mmx14mmx6mm) heat sinks and put one on each of the major chips on my C.H.I.P. to help dissipate heat.
