C-stand knuckle

C-stand knuckle

thingiverse

This is a recreation of a c-stand knuckle which is a common piece of equipment used in film and television productions. The knuckle usually is mounted on a c-stand but can be mounted on any stand with a spigot. You can then insert anything from lights to frames to c-stand arms in the knuckle making it very versatile. I designed and printed this as an exercise rather than for practical use. Real c-stand knuckles are made out of metal and can hold up substantial weight. I never intended to actually use this on a production however it does seem capable of holding a lightweight LED light. I still wouldn't trust it especially not to hold expensive equipment or hold something which could fall on and injure an actor or crew member.
