Cable Bundle Clamps

Cable Bundle Clamps

The clamping mechanism I designed to support the wiring bundle on my 3D printer wasn't holding up, so I designed this upgraded bundle clamp. The clamp comes in 3 diameters - 14, 18, and 20 mm to hold a range of bundle sizes. I found I needed a narrower base in another application so there are also 2 different base sizes. The standard base width is 18mm while the narrower base is 14mm wide. Unless you need the narrow base the standard base is recommended. The STEP files are included for the standard base sizes. Print Settings Printer: Cobblebot Basic Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1-0.2 Infill: 20% Directions STLs are oriented in best printing position. The flange will print better on its side rather than an upside down U. There are STLs for both the standard and narrow bracket mounts but only one flange STL for each size. They are interchangeable. The base hole diameter is 5mm and the clamp uses M3 hardware. To keep it simple I didn't design nut traps. Just use the M3 bolts to cut threads into the plastic. Even with pulling on the cable bundle the clamp will have sufficient holding force.
