Cable Car Wheelset

Re-designed wheelset for cable car restoration. Original plan was to use an existing pattern for an electric tram wheel, but when prices came back for casting cost this wheel proved to be way too expensive to make. With the cable car not driving through wheels, just rolling and a bit of braking their only function. The original wheels were of much lighter construction and as casting costs are based on weight of metal pored even with additional costs for pattern, is looking a cheaper option. The other option I am looking at would be to have the wheels CNC machined from profile cut blanks.
