Cable Chain Motor Mount for ANET A8 E3DV6 BMD Direct Drive X Carriage

**UPDATE** The current version upload to thingiverse will not work with the Anet A8 Plus. The chain attachment is currently miss-aligned and will block the filament entrance to the BMG extruder. I have an update in the works that fixes this and also added a chain-fitting that has looser tolerances so there is not as much friction during motion. I am also working on cable chains with loose enough tolerances to not induce friction/drag on the print head while still being stiff enough not to sag down toward the print-bed. These will also be included once I get the update published. Keep this thing liked or saved in another way to where you can come back to it. For now, I advise you not time or filament on it as it is not optimized for the A8 Plus and presumably the A8 as well if your using Richard90's BMG/BLtouch carriage. **This is still a work in progress** I was asked to upload this in advance. It should work AS-IS but I can not confirm anything since I ran out of Filament and it is taking longer than normal to receive a shipment due to the COVID crisis. This remix is originally based on the X-carriage/mount by Thorinair and is designed to fit on the BMG/E3D/BLtouch X-Carriage by Richard90. **It is very important that you modify your end-stops or firmware**, since this limits a very small portion of the X-movement and it will crash into the frame if you do not. The nozzle should still have enough space to reach the end of the bed-- but I can only confirm this on the Anet A8 Plus which has a 300x300 bed! Since there is a very limited space on the BMG backplate after everything is installed, I had to remove a significant portion of the original models support material in order to make it fit and use the two available m4 screws near the top. I bridged the original empty space in the model where the two screws fasten into place and this helped add a little extra rigidity. I also thought of making this section thicker or wider, but I decided not to since I did not want to cover the (..wire?) hole on the upper-right portion of the BMG backplate or miss-align the mount from the other Z-stepper mounted side. I added a little divot on one side of the mount. This should allow a little bit of room for any screws that may pertrude out of the side which fastens the extruder in place. You can see in my pictures that I am using little screws that in encounters this issue. After performing a test print using PLA, everything seemed good enough for the job-- but note that you will probably want to use whatever is the most rigid filament you have at your disposal for additional support if possible. The supports slightly ripped the female sockets a bit in my picture. You can see in Fusion360 that the diameter of the threaded M4 sockets should be fine under normal circumstances, it was just that my part-cooling fan broke so it over-adhered the support layers. I'll have better pictures of a post-install and see how it performs once I have more filament. If you like this design, be sure to leave a comment and a like. Thank you! "Bark bark!" RoscoeTheDog
