*** UPDATE *** 2-20-18 I just realized that the version I uploaded on 1-14-18 was the wrong version and didn't have the feet to support the fan and letting it droop downwards overtime. *** UPDATE *** 1-14-18 I have just uploaded a new version of my bracket. After using this for a little while I noticed some flaws in the design. 1) I added support pillars as mine was bending/warping and didn't hold its shape any longer. 2) I a added feet to the bottom and also I added 2 little rubber sticky pads which stopped it from sliding off the unit on slippery surfaces. 3) I edited the distance between the two arms that grab the top/bottom of the unit. While just a tiny change, it does seem to grip ever so slightly better than my last one. This version seems more stable than the last version. I recently got a new entertainment center and my cable modem from Comcast doesn't have enough space to stand upright. Laying it on it's side it was lopsided and didn't look good to me. I modeled this stand to keep it level and added an optional 120 mm case fan I had laying around to keep it cool (what a HUGE difference this made and I am almost certain that this is the leading cause of failure on these devices!) I suspect that this will only fit the X-Finity line of cable modems, but, as they are such a large company I am sure that many people may have this model.
