Drafting & Design 12 student, Adam C., designed the cable spooler to wind up excess audio cable in his vehicle. The design was created in Solid Edge and we have uploaded the .par files so others can modify the design to fit their needs. There are two parts to print and we drilled out the center to accommodate an 8 mm bolt. Instructions We printed this on our MakerBot Dual using red PLA. Shells: 3 Infill: 50% Nozzle Temp: 190 Bed Tem: 0 Support is required for both parts. An 1.5" long 8mm bolt and 8mm nut are required. The bolt hole will have to be cleaned up by drilling it out with an appropriate sized bit. Once you get the cable started inside the spooler you could use lock tite to keep the nut in place or use a second nut to keep everything in place.
