Cable (wire rope) Swage Gauge

This is a handy swage guage to check the quality of cable (wire rope) swaged on (Nicopress-ish) sleeves. The gauge is used to verify the crimp is less than the maximum after-swage diameter. Cable sizes supported are 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", and 1/4" maximum after swage diameters were taken from US Rigging Supply document found at: http://www.usrigging.com/pdfs/Swage-Inst.pdf. Instructions Recommendations for this print: Print it as a solid, high quality. You will want it sturdy and accurate (dimensions are to .001"). Review the US Rigging sheet noted above for maximum after-swage dimensions, and check your printed part's gauge openings with a calipers, then adjust part scale as appropriate to calibrate it to within .002" and reprint it - repeat. Calibration is needed for printer inaccuracies and material shrinkage. Use a black sharpie to highlight the tops of the raised text for better visibility Keep in mind, when using the gauge, that it is not steel and can flex. So, when testing a swage with if you are looking for No/nada/none friction when sliding it over the crimp. You also don't want it too sloppy. The US Rigging sheet says these are maximum dimensions, but you shouldn't be smaller than .010" less than these either.
