Cabled Busbar Plug

Cabled Busbar Plug

This housing allows you to create a male busbar connector for high-current board-mount busbar plugs. I designed this because I found that there is no vendor-provided male connector. You will also need 1/8" x 3/4" copper busbar (can be found at Grainger), low-gauge wire, and a high-power soldering iron or torch to solder the wire to the copper busbar. To assemble, cut copper bar to length so it doesn't stick out beyond the rear shroud, solder wire to copper, insert into assembly and drill hole for pin. Insert pin and re-melt other side to hold in place. Designed to be printed without supports. Mounting hole might sag a little, but I had good luck getting it to work. Photos show mockup of how plug would sit on board and how connector mates.
