CADMAN CHALLENGE #5 Solidworks Concept Mech Robot Design Series

Hi folks, here is my design of A Concept Mech Robot. This is a 3D Model I created of Concept Mech Robot. I used Solidworks to create the model. Most of the process is shown here, but there are still some items pending before reaching the final result. Currently this project is in phase 3: conceptual design. At the moment the project breaks down as follows: 3. Conceptual Work 3.1 Head 3.2 Shoulders 3.3 Chest 3.4 Back 3.5 Arms 3.5.1 Upper Arm 3.5.2 Lower Arm 3.5.3 Hands 3.6 Torso 3.7 Hip 3.8 Legs 3.8.1 Upper Leg 3.8.2 Lower Leg 3.8.3 Feet As far as progress and status goes, there are 8 tasks as you can see from this list of which I've only just started the head and I'd say the head is at about 50 percent completion. This means the project is somewhere around 6.25 percent complete. At this rate, if I work on the project every sunday, I should be finished with the conceptual design in the next 2-3 weeks. Of course I wont be working during the holidays so I would expect to have the conceptual model completed sometime in mid to late january. At that point I'd be able to begin phase 4: planning, where I'd figure out a budget and the boundaries for the engineering design (phase 5). I will continue to upload more videos on this series as I complete more of this work. Once I complete the conceptual and engineering design, I will upload a voiced overview video of the project. Also I will upload more files on grabcad for this project as I go along.
