line, space, circle, and hex patterns of 5, 3, 2, 1.5, 1.0, 0.75, and 0.5 mm. design is primarily intended for calibrating extruder and slicer settings. design is not intended or well suited for mechanical calibration, i.e. calibrating steps per mm. There are many excellent designs that are well suited and designed for mechanical calibration, please use those designs if this is your goal. I had not come across a dithered line space pattern. Such a design or something like it should be very helpful for realizing fine detail print features where the extruder and slicing software are limiting realized detail. When using this design one should attempt to achieve symmetry with respect to the line and space width (or hole and peg width) and accuracy with respect to the designed feature sizes. First one should tune extruder and slicer settings with the line space design. then one should tune firmware acceleration settings with the hole peg design. thank you open source reprap community.
