This is something i have been wanting to try -- combining radial ports and rifling.... *Caliburn / TC Parts Sharing: Scar, Piston, T Release, Grip Insert* First off many thanks to CaptainSlug and 55Samba for all of their designs. In the course of printing and using them I tweaked a few small components for my use. I take no credit for the designs as I just remixed a bunch of things in TinkerCAD. Hopefully it will be helpful and save you a bit of time. > Homebrew Scar Two sizes for double the fun! They are 0.55 in and 0.65 in ID rifled muzzles that imparts spin to Nerf darts. I recommend the smaller diameter for higher powered springs. Designed for half darts not tested on full. Print at 0.2mm layer height with low or no fan. No supports are needed. I print with three perimeters and 25% and fill with a 3d star pattern. Printed and tested with PLA only. Clean up with 220 sandpaper rolled into a tube. Lightly sand with a little twisting motion along the length of the muzzle. Do not sand with a rotation motion only. Obviously, it's best to twist in the direction that matches the ridges inside the muzzle. To install I use a layer of masking tape and friction fit. When testing rotate the muzzle until you get the best performance. I don't have a chronograph so I cannot give numbers regarding FPS drop. On my K 26 full-size caliburn, with a brass breach barrel I don't notice any performance penalty at 75 feet. With a TC-K25 it drops about 6-8 inches with the 0.55 with a level shot. Accuracy greatly improved for worn darts. Better than workers scar barrel or slugs fishing line version? Unknown but it is an improvement, free and a relatively quick print. YMMV. Comments and improvements are welcome. > Piston -- Print this at 100% infill ! Slugs TC Tweaked L piston design is great but kept breaking in my TC with a K 25. I just thicken the walls and created a ridge for larger springs to seat a bit better. > K/T Mag Release If you use slugs magazine release on 55samba’s lower magwell you'll notice, the releases are on opposite sides. I flip them and added a hole to facilitate alignment for installation. > Daniel's Holey Grip Insert This is purely a cosmetic thing my son designed. I thought it looked better and thought it worthy to share it.
