I got tired of wasting LR44s that my caliper would eat each for 2 or 3 months. (Cheap chinese calipers with DRO at 5USD price point) So I created a clip on conversion kit to AA or AAA providin me an easier replacement option and also with rechargeable options. print the clip and the battery box of your choice. And glue them together aligned by the cable via hole. Create a coil and glue the wire from to the battery port and the battery holder. (Triple check your polarity)
