Caliper Jaw Adaptor for Layout

These are designed to clamp on to a set of calipers and allow you to use them as a precision layout tool. I think this is much better than just using the jaws of the calipers, as it helps prevent errors due to the caliper jaws being the same length and forcing the calipers to be at an angle relative to the surface being marked. Printed on Elegoo Mars 2 Pro with Elegoo Gray ABS like resin. Designed for 4-40 hardware, square nuts and 1/2" socket head cap screws. The knife is 1/8" square bar stock, shaped, hardened and sharpened. (I ended up grinding and filing mine out of an old piece of 5mm linear rod.) The square nuts press into mating cavities in the parts. (See the x-ray view picture.) The nuts for clamping the adapters to the caliper jaws can be sucked into place using the cap screws. I included designs that can be made using metal (stainless steel?) angle and bar stock. There is a version that can be made with minimal tools and a version that would require a mill. Added STL files and FreeCAD file for a version that uses metric hardware. M3 x 12mm cap screws and square nuts. Added STL files and FreeCAD files (Metric and Imperial) for a moving jaw version with a stabilizing shelf added to it.
