My first attempts at turning a picture into a 3D print. One has a solid backing with the entire original image in it. I paused half way through the print to change from white to black. The other model is just the stand-alone drawing that I've modified to hold the wheels and eyes to the frame, but without the surrounding terrain and swirls. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Select Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1mm How I Designed This Started with a picture from the book. Used Photoshop to thicken the lines and convert to monochrome. Converted to vector graphics image. Imported into Inkscape to then save as a DXF. Opened the DXF in Solidworks and fixed over 250 erroneous lines and gaps. Gave one model the backing and tadaa!
