This is a remix of SeniorJP's Low Profile Hirth Joint to make a swivel mount for a tripod mounted light. I wanted to use a Cam action pinch clamp and add the Hirth joint to prevent unwanted rotation. All design work was done in OpenSCAD, and as noted I just added my stiff to the orginal files leaving all CC and comments from original author. Please continue to credit SeniorJP for the great Hirth Joint generation if you modify these. There are three parts. The Cam Lock which is designed to use half inch round bar drilled and tapped for M5-8 threaded screws and then cut to 12mm( 1/2 inch) slugs. I did not include the bulky cam latch seen in photos as a v03 was created to right size it to the pinch clamps. The first pinch clamp with Hirth Joint has one mounting hole and is designed to work with 8mm rod. It fits precision linear rail stock perfectly. The second pinch clamp was updated for 3/8 inch round stock, wooden dowels or metal round bar which is much cheaper than precision ground linear rail stock. It could also be sourced at the Orange box hardware store. This mount has 2 mounting holes for M5 threaded inserts.
