Cameo 4 Pen Adapter

Cameo 4 Pen Adapter

I've tried this pen holder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4336648) in my silhouette cameo 4, but it did not fit. So I've just re-created it. I've also added more strength to the center pins. The diameter for the pens is 11 mm. All "normal" pens/fineliners should work. For the fixation I used default M3 screws. You can print https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3404522 to have a nice handle on your screws. I've used the 5,5mm version and just glued them on the screw head. **Usage:** Put the pen into the adapter. When the center-pins start to bend, then at least for my pens it was the perfect position. Fix it with the screw. Then put it into tool slot 1 of your Cameo 4. In Silhouette Studio under "send" select "sketch" / "pen" and set the pressure to 1 and the speed to 5. Those are good values for the start. You can tweak them if needed. When you print, the pen should not draw lines while moving around, only when it's pressed down. Otherwise the pen needs to be pulled back in the adapter. And yes: it's shitty that the Cameo stops after he finished it's work for some seconds - which causes most pens to leak. You can avoid this by placing a small line or something in another color outside of your final part and make sure that this is printed last. In that case, the printer stops and leaks there and not in your direct print.
