Camera filter adapter (Canon SX50-HS)

This thing allows the attachment of filters or other items in front of the objective of a Canon SX50-HS camera. This super-zoom camera has an unusual objective size and regular adapters do not fit. The openscad file can be modified to fit other camera sizes. The adapter has two tiny side tabs that attach to the sides of the objective with a 90 degree rotation. This thing worked very well to attach in front of the camera a small sheet of black polymer solar filter (http://www.thousandoaksoptical.com/solar.html) and take some nice pictures of the sun (you can even see a dark solar spot on the top-right side of the sun image in the picture above). Extension: added adapters to connect standard glass filters and a ring of NeoPixel lights to the front of the Canon SX50-HS objective. Instructions This object printed very well in my printrbot printer with 0.2mm layers, but I had to print three versions with different diameters to get a perfect fit.
